Why does it take so long?
I'm tired of worrying about grades. According to our school's website, it takes up to two weeks for the grades to be posted online. ok...why does it take so long? I know prof's submit grades online...it's not like someone has to enter all the grades manually. This school is kinda backward when it comes to this type of stuff. They are not quite up to par with our modern technology.
For instance, our ID card. Most school ID cards look kinda like driver's license. They take pics with a digital camera that is hooked up to a computer, and the ID cards are printed out of a computer. (I don't know how exactly it works but ya know what i mean...) It's all digital, right? But our school ID cards are...almost from stone age. They take polaroid picture of you, stick it on a piece of cardboard, type your name and ID number on the cardboard (using a type writer!), and laminate it. I think we are the only school in NYC that has cardboard ID cards. This is pathetic.
Today was quite busy. My mentor wanted a huge list of articles by the end of this week. So I spent pretty much all day running around at NYU library and my school's library. When I finished making copies, printing out, etc., I realized that the school will be closed tomorrow. Oh, no!!!! My mentor wanted all the materials by the end of this week but she wasn't in today. So, I e-mailed her to tell her that the school will be closed tomorrow and don't know what to do with these articles. Then, she said that she'll come by later tonight to pick them up. good, good.
I had lunch with Misa today. for some reason, all my friends hate Indian food...but Misa was an exception. Then, of course I had to have Indian food. We went to this place on University Pl. It looked kinda modern and cute inside of the restaurant. Food was not too bad, either. I had vegetarian lunch special and mango lassi! yum. I love mango lassi. mmmm, yum. It was kinda nice to have lunch with friend. I usually just pick up some junk food and eat in the lab but that's kinda sad, ya know. Lunch with friend is fun!
hmmm...what shall I eat for dinner???
