school year ended

Finally, the school year ended. I still have a paper to write, but I'm done with the semester. Now I have to be anxious over my grades (GPA below 3.7 means going back to Ohio), and if I do get good enough grades to keep my scholarship, I have to be anxious over the comps. I have about one more month before the comps. As soon as I find out about my grades and my scholarship status, I should start studying for the comps.

Not much going on lately...just been busy with translation work. I consider myself somewhat fluent in both English and Japanese but when it comes to translating, it's a whole another story. I didn't know how hard it was to translate (especially business documents) untill I started this job. There are some phrases in English that we never use in Japanese, so I can't usually translate words to words. For instance, "have a nice weekend!" There's a translation for this phrase, but in Japan, we don't usually tell each other, "have a nice weekend."

I may go back to Japan this summer. I called a travel agency yesterday, and they told me that pretty much all the tickets for June is sold out and there's a wait list. ugh. But luckily, they found a seat for me on June 28, and returning on July 13. I haven't decided whether to buy these tickets or not, but most likely, I will. All the good food I can eat in Japan, especially my mom's cooking....yum!!! can't wait to go back. And I also can't wait to get my visa renewed. after I get that done, I can travel abroad anytime I want to (as long as I have money). Maybe I can go visit Yayoi in Amsterdam!!!
