not young any more
Had a very crazy week last week. Leaving home at 7am and coming home after 11pm. Running to NJ everyday to babysit or to conduct interviews. After one week of craziness, my body said "you are not young any more!" Starting from Friday night, I got super sick...sore throat, fever, headache, etc, etc. ugh. Not when Dave is visiting and Yayoi is in town! Anyway, let's go over what happened last weekend! (I've been into this mass-update lately!)
Friday afternoon: interview in NJ (for my research project) but the interviewee wasn't home when I got there. She forgot about the interview and had to wait for her to come home for 15 min or so. At least, the interview was completed, though.
Friday night: Dave got in town and we went to a random Thai restaurant in Queens. It was a super small, family-owned restaurant with only three tables, and I actually liked it. It was very homey and had a good food. Very satisfied.
Saturday: still feeling crappy from cold. went straight to study session at noon, then went to conduct an interview. while i was doing all these academic stuff, Dave went shopping and had some beer at a bar! How cruel! By the time I got back home, I was feeling super super crappy and couldn't go to party at Yayoi's sister's place. :-( I was very much looking forward to it! ugh.
Sunday: felt much better, so decided to go on a cruise with Yayoi et al. It was sooooooooooo much fun. I can't say this enough. It was fantastic!!! Best Sunday ever! Had a great view of the Statue. Later, Yayoi came to my ghetto apartment in Queens. Ya know what we had? We had breakfast food at IHOP! Yayoi seemed to be quite happy with greasy American breakfast, though.
Anyway, I had a crazy busy and fun week/weekend! More excitement to come, I hope.
